M1 reopens following crash involving two lorries

THE M1 citybound has reopened following a two-lorry crash.

The accident had forced the closure of both lanes citybound and caused massive traffic tailbacks.

Three men were taken to hospital following the accident which was reported to emergency services shortly after 7am.

Both lanes were closed citybound between juunction nine Moira and junction eight at Blaris.

Motorists were experiencing long delays on A3 Belfast Road from Lurgan, A3 Moira Road from Lisburn and A26 Glenavy Road towards Moira.

The accident also caused an oil spill on the motorway.
