The first pictures of golfer Graeme McDowell marrying his American sweetheart have emerged with the sports star describing how he is "happy and in love".
The Portrush golfer released two photographs of his new wife Kirstin Stape, with him on the beach in the Caribbean.
The couple met in 2010, when McDowell hired Ms Stape, an interior designer to work on his Florida home.
The two images taken after they wed in the Bahamas on Saturday clearly show how delighted they were to become husband and wife.
McDowell told followers on Twitter that they had enjoyed "an amazing weekend" and Ms Stape had "made me a very happy man".
Of the second image, he said: "I think this photo sums up the weekend. happy and in love with kristinstape."
Family and friends of the former US Open champion travelled to the Bahamas to witness him marrying his American fiancee.
But best pal Rory McIlroy was absent from the nuptials with his agent revealing that the holywood golfer had a commercial meeting in London over the weekend.
McIlroy is understood to have been taking part in a photoshoot for Nike along with Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney. he was later pictured enjoying dinner and partying with Rooney.
McIlroy did not tweet any congratulatory messages but his tennis star girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki took to Twitter to wish the couple well.
