Farmer who told Rihanna to cover up 'milks' fame

Published 02/02/2013

THE Co Down farmer who ordered singer Rihanna to cover up during filming in his field is following in the popstar's footsteps.

Alan Graham is 'milking' the fame he found in 2011, when he called for filming of the Barbadian's video in his field to stop, by making a music video of his own.

The DUP councillor stars in a video to encourage young people to drink milk.

The video Milk it - produced for the Dairy Council for Northern Ireland - aims to encourage young people to engage in sport and to live healthy and active lifestyles.

It begins with the Bangor councillor milking a cow to the beat of the music track and is followed by other sporting sounds that are remixed to create a rap video.

Athletes from St Mary's University College hurling team, the Northern Ireland ladies' football team and the Knights Wheelchair Basketball Club are among those who also feature in the production. ■ EXPLORING NEW FIELD: The Milk It music video, which features Alan Graham, below ■ MUSIC VIDEO: Rihanna films a music video in Bangor, Co Down, in 2011
