A SPECIALIST secondary school for boys and girls with social, emotional, communication and interaction difficulties is seeking teachers from the north.

The award-winning Chiltern Way Academy in Buckinghamshire is looking for "talented, dynamic and inspirational teachers" to challenge and motivate young people.

The academy was established in 2010 bringing together two closely sited secondary phased schools.

Its aim is to provide pupils with the very best in education, therapy and care.

Principal Ian McCaul, who is originally from the north, said he was looking for "dynamic, reflective and innovative teachers".

"The Irish really do well here. We have recruited well from Northern Ireland in the past. if people are prepared to make the leap, the potential development opportunities are huge," Mr McCaul said.

Teachers interested in applying are being invited to the Malone Lodge Hotel in Belfast on December 4.

Mr McCaul said applications were welcome from secondary, primary and newly-qualified teachers.

Chiltern Way Academy, he added, offered a generous salary, subsidised accommodation and career development opportunities.
