Footage of a daring daylight 'ram raid' in County Tyrone has been released by the PSNI after a sheep went on the lam, causing damage to two windows of a credit union in the process.

Security cameras at Ardboe Credit Union captured footage of the incident, showing an escaped sheep arriving through the glass doors of the building before causing damage to a large glass window.

The footage - which appeared on the Cookstown PSNI Facebook page - show a man, thought to be the owner of the runaway sheep, coming after the animal and trying without success to capture it.

The sheep then makes off through the sliding glass doors before once again trying to enter the building through another window causing more damage to the credit union.

No charges were brought against the sheep.
