POLICE were last night continuing to question a 23-year-old man on suspicion of possessing and supplying controlled drugs.

He was arrested in the Tigers Bay area of north Belfast around 9am yesterday.

Following the arrest, police seized quantities of suspected class A, B and C controlled drugs and a number of items suspected to be equipment related to a drug supply operation.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Our officers will continue to protect communities from the harm of illegal drugs.

"This seizure has stopped these drugs being sold on our streets and we have stopped the profits from lining the pockets of organised criminals.

"I would urge the public to come forward with information about drug dealing in north Belfast and all areas so police can take positive action like this."
