A HALLOWEEN harvest-themed street party has been held to help rejuvenate a part of Belfast which has been under stress since the Primark fire.

The Castle Street Traders Fare took place yesterday under the shadow of the burnt out Bank Buildings shell.

While `business as usual' banners hang across the street, the fire has had a devastating knock-on impact on the area and many shops have struggled.

The event had been planned before the fire, to shine a light on that part of the city centre.

Local traders spilled out into the streets yesterday to highlight and celebrate the wealth of independent retailers and the variety of goods and services on offer.

There were also several interactive stands and demonstrations, ghostly and ghoulish street performers and family activities.

Stalls were also set up on nearby Fountain Street and Bank Square, which featured food, art crafts and live music.

The market culminated with a lantern parade.
