TWO men were being questioned by police last night after being arrested by detectives from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit in connection with an attack on a house in Poleglass on Wednesday.

The men, aged 47 and 41, were arrested on Thursday in the Suffolk Road area and the Glenwood area of Dunmurry,

Detective Inspector Andrew Hamlin said: "Following a planned search of two houses we seized a number of items including a suspected replica firearm and BB gun as well as mobile phones. They have all been taken away for further examination.

"We will continue to target all those involved in paramilitary and terrorist activity as their illegal actions only serve to blight the communities they operate in".

Meanwhile, a man aged in his sixties, who was arrested under the Terrorism Act following a search of a house in the Church Street area of Bushmills in Co Antrim on Thursday, has been released unconditionally.
