POLICE are investigating after a house and cars were targeted in three different areas of Co Antrim in recent days.

A probe was launched after an arson attack at a house in Templepatrick at around 1.30am on Thursday.

A wheelie bin was and tyres were placed at the front door of the property in the Templeton Park area.

A man and woman who were in the property escaped through the living room window.

A car parked in the area was also set alight.

Both the front door and vehicle were badly damaged.

A car was also set alight outside a house in the Firfields area of Balloo, at nearby Antrim, shortly after 11.15pm on Wednesday.

Police say an “accelerant” was poured onto the rear of the vehicle which was badly damaged.

It is understood the incidents are not being linked.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a possible link between arson attacks on two cars in Co Antrim.

At around 11.15pm on Wednesday it was reported that a car was on fire at the Haw Road area of Bushmills.

Shortly after 11.40pm it was reported that another car was alight in the Carnbore Road area of the town.

Both cars were badly damaged as a result of the incidents.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Enquiries are continuing but police are investigating a possible link between both attacks.”

Fire fighters attended each scene put the blazes out.
