THE funeral is due to take place today of a man who died in a drowning tragedy in Co Tyrone.

The body of Frank Donnelly was recovered from a river in Benburb on Saturday afternoon. It is believed he may have fallen into the water while fishing.

Police said a body was "recovered from a river in Benburb" and that a post mortem examination would be carried out, although foul play is not suspected.

It is unclear how Mr Donnelly, who is believed to have lived in the Moy and Benburb areas, fell into the water but it is thought he may have suffered a heart attack.

Requiem Mass is due to take place at St John's Church, Moy today at 11am followed by interment in St Patrick's Cemetery, Eskra.
