Police investigating serious assault in north Belfast, which left a man suffering head and face injuries

Police are investigating the attack

A 27 year-old man arrested on Monday in connection with an assault in north Belfast has been released on bail pending further enquiry.

The arrest came after a 26-year-old man was found unresponsive in a flat in the Shore Crescent area of the city on Sunday at around 3.30pm.

He was found unresponsive and with a number of head and facial injuries and remains in hospital.

Police say enquiries are continuing.
