Derry Girls star teams up with National Lottery to launch awards

DERRY Girls star Jamie-Lee O'Donnell joined forces with the National Lottery yesterday to launch a search for the best projects to carry out "life-changing work in their community".

The actress met children from the Model Primary School in Derry, who are involved in the Bluebell Arts project 'Issues in Your Tissues'.

The programme, which is supported by National Lottery funding, uses music, dance and the arts to promote positive mental health.

Thousands of organisations across Northern Ireland can enter the 2018 National Lottery Awards, with seven categories including, arts, education, environment, health, heritage, sport and voluntary/charity. Visit lotterygoodcauses.org.uk for further information.
