TYRONE GAA manager Mickey Harte is to be the subject of an hour-long documentary on TG4 next month.

The three-times All-Ireland football winning boss will feature in the popular Laochra Gael series, which has been profiling GAA stars for almost two decades.

The show, which will be broadcast on Wednesday March 28 at 9.30pm, is moving to a new hour-long format, double the current length of 30 minutes.

The documentary on Mr Harte, entitled 'Unquenchable Spirit', is the last of five programmes on GAA personalities to feature in the new spring series.

Lar Corbett, the Tipperary hurler, will be the focus of the first programme on February 28, followed by Meath footballer Graham Geraghty, Cork camogie star Ashling Thompson and Kilkenny hurler Henry Shefflin.

Gaelic football's longest-serving manager, Mr Harte, from Ballygawley, has been at the helm in Tyrone for more than 15 years. Last year his contract to manage the Tyrone senior team was renewed until the end of the 2020 season.

GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail said: "All of those who feature in the latest series should be justifiably proud that they have been singled out for inclusion in recognition of their contribution to our games, and by extension, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael as a whole. Their respective roles deserve commendation of the highest order."
