A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after guns, ammunition and class A drugs were found in Co Antrim.
The man was arrested yesterday about organised crime in mid and east Antrim following searches in Ballymena on Thursday.
Detective Inspector Chris Millar said a "substantial number" of guns were seized in the searches.
"I have no doubt that lives have been saved as these weapons can only inflict serious damage either through death or horrific injuries," he said.
"I would appeal to the public to let police know of any organised criminality happening in their communities – together we can tackle this blight on our society."
