Two men aged 21 and 22 were arrested today on suspicion of aggravated burglary following an incident in Co Down.

Shortly before 1.30pm on Thursday, a 26-year-old man was assaulted in his home in the Lisbane Drive area of the town by two other men who were armed with knives.

The pair then left the property with a sum of cash.

Police said the householder suffered "minor injuries" and was left shaken.

A short time later police arrested two men aged 21 and 22 in Newtownards town centre.

Police have appealed for information about the incident.
