NORTHERN Ireland manager Michael O'Neill's mother Patricia will be buried tomorrow after Requiem Mass at the family's Co Antrim church.

Patricia O'Neill was gravely ill during the final stages of Northern Ireland's World Cup challenge, with her son travelling from the team's base to Ballymena to be at her bedside before the first leg at Windsor Park.

She died in Antrim Area Hospital on Sunday, surrounded by her family.

Her remains will be removed from her Brigadie Gardens home in Ballymena at 9.30am to All Saints Church for 10am Requiem Mass.

Interment afterwards will be at Ballywillan Cemetery in Portrush.

Michael O'Neill has put talks with the Scottish FA on hold.

Mrs O'Neill is survived by her husband Des and children Sean, Una, Maura, Michael and Orla.
