Man assaulted in Belfast city centre

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Belfast city centre.

The victim was attacked in the Howard Street area on Tuesday at around 10.30pm.

A PSNI spokeswoman said: "Northern Ireland Ambulance Service were in attendance and conveyed the man to hospital, where he remains".
