Secretary of State James Brokenshire has one of the highest satisfaction ratings among Conservative Party members, a new survey reveals.

The survey of cabinet members and leading elected representatives by blogging site Conservative Home ranks the party's Scottish leader Ruth Davidson and Brexit secretary David Davies as the most popular, with ratings of +70.3 and +65.3 respectively.

Published to coincide with this week's Tory conference in Manchester, the survey gives positive ratings to Liam Fox (+47), Priti Pat (+44.3) and Boris Johnson (+38.5).

However, Tory members make less favourable assessments of Prime Minister Theresa May (-1.1), Home Secretary Amber Rudd (-8.6) and Chancellor Philip Hammond (-37.0).

Mr Brokenshire received a rating of +41.1, ranking him sixth overall in the survey carried out last month.
