Man released on bail after Belfast crash which has left 19-year-old with 'life-threatening' injuries

A MAN arrested in connection with a road collision which left another man with life-threatening injuries has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily injury following the two-vehicle crash at the junction of the Castlereagh Road and Upper Knockbreda Road in east Belfast at around 9.45pm on Wednesday.

A 19-year-old man is currently being treated in hospital for injuries described as "life threatening" by police.

A man in his 60s was released from hospital after suffering minor injuries in the crash, which led to the closure of the Upper Knockbreda Road overnight.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the crash to contact officers on 101.
