A CO Derry mansion house has been voted Northern Ireland’s Best Window with a View.

Downhill House, which was built in the late 18th century, was up against a number of other notable buildings including Victoria Square in Belfast, Mussenden Temple in Co Derry and Whitepark Bay Youth Hostel in Ballycastle, Co Antrim, for the title.

The competition, which was launched earlier this year by MyGlazing.com, saw thousands of people take part in a public vote to select their favourite image of stunning architecture and landscapes.

Downhill House will now go up against finalists from 10 other areas across the country in a public vote to win the title of the UK’s Best Window with a View.

The national winner, which will be announced next month. will be decided via an online vote at MyGlazing.com/WWAV. Voting will remain open until September 30.

James Lee, Director of Marketing at MyGlazing.com, said: "It’s going to be an exciting couple of months, seeing which regional winner secures the title of the UK’s Best Window with a View. We wish Downhill House the best of luck in the national vote and urge people in Northern Ireland to support them".
