A MAN has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on an attempted murder charge.
Brian Gerald Forbes (49) of Glenanne in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today.
He is charged with the attempted murder of a man on January 3 this year.
Forbes also faced three other charges of threats to kill, criminal damage and possessing an axe and bow and arrow on the same date.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and Forbes said he did not wish to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
He was remanded into custody to appear again at Derry Crown Court for his arraignment on October 3.
