Mr Lavery, believed to be in his early thirties and from the Lagmore area of Dunmurry, had been staying at his grandparents’ home in Riverdale Park North when he was found unresponsive yesterday morning.

Yesterday Mr Lavery’s cousin Jennifer paid tribune to him on Facebook saying: “This is such a sad time for myself and my family and we appreciate all the genuine condolences.

“Rest in peace, Christopher. You were a big gentle soul with a heart of gold.”

Sinn Féin councillor Matt Garrett said: “This is a tragic loss of young life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.”

Mr Lavery is survived by his father Francis, mother Patricia, brothers Francis and Mark and sister Chloe.

Police said they are not investigating a link. A spokesman said: “Postmortem examinations will take place to determine the cause. However, they are not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
