A NORTH Belfast amateur football team has shown it is not just Barcelona who can overturn a four goal deficit, with a video of their remarkable triumph getting more than four million views online.

Footage of a Junior Shield fourth round match between Belfast Celtic YM and Shamrock FC has gone viral on social media, with the 6-5 final scoreline mirroring Barcelona's miraculous Champions League victory over Paris Saint Germain last week.

In the local grudge match from December 2015, played at Marrowbone Park on the Oldpark Road, Shamrock were four goals up, before being pegged back to 4-4.

They then re-took the lead when their goalkeeper scored from a kick-off. Two late Celtic goals would seal the game however, sending the raucous Celtic support into raptures.

The video, shot by Larne man Tommy Phillips, was posted on social media after Barcelona's heroics and has had more than four million views to date.

This is in large part due to the footage being shared by Facebook page 'The SPORT Bible', which has almost 10 million followers. The page described it as 'greatest Sunday league game ever'

"I never expected it to go viral like it has. Sometimes it's the ridiculous and the innocuous things which generate the most interest," Mr Phillips said.

"I just thought the timing was right with the Barcelona game as it's kind of on the same lines of coming back from four nil."
