Former X-Factor star, Fleur East will headline St Patrick's Day celebrations in Belfast later this month.

The 29-year-old singer will perform at a free concert at Custom House Square, where she will be joined by X-Factor R&B duo Reggie ‘n’ Bollie as well as London girl group, Stooshe.

Also taking part will be Belfast Boys’ Model Drummers and traditional band The Rare Aul Stuff.

The annual Carnival Parade will leave city hall at 12Noon on Friday March 17 to make its way to Custom House Square where the gig will take place from 12.45pm until 3pm.

There will also be a range of street theatre acts and face painters to keep even the youngest revellers entertained.

Mayor Brian Kingston said this year's celebration promised to be "bigger, more vibrant and more extraordinary than ever before".

"The hugely talented Beat Carnival have really outdone themselves in producing a breathtakingly colourful parade which celebrates the character and

diversity of our city and our people," he said.

"The celebration promises to be bigger, more vibrant and more extraordinary than ever before, with participants from community groups from all over Belfast performing, accompanied by the impressive Glassdrumman, Cloughfin and Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Bands".

He added: "And we’re delighted that representatives of the four major sporting events we’re proud to host in Belfast this year – the World Ice Hockey

Championships, the World 24-Hour Running Championships, the Women’s Rugby World Cup and the UEFA Women’s U-19 Championships will also be joining the parade".

Entry to the concert will be on a first-come-first-served basis and alcohol is strictly forbidden.
