Ryan Phillips (27), from Lisburn, died after his bike collided with another scrambler motorcycle in a laneway near the park-and-ride facility at Sprucefield shortly before 7pm on Sunday.

An 18-year-old man was treated in hospital for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The fatal collision on Sunday comes just months after Translink decided to shut its Sprucefield park-and-ride facility on weekend evenings because of "antisocial behaviour".

Meanwhile, a woman in her 30s remains in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash in Bangor, Co Down on Saturday night.

Two men, both aged 22, were arrested in relation to the collision and both have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
