A CO Tyrone school has paid tribute to two former pupils killed in a road crash, by releasing a poignant video of images of the two best friends.

St Joseph's College, Dromore created the montage of pictures in honour of Maurice McCloughan from Fintona and Killian Doherty from Drumquin, who died in a collision earlier this month.

The childhood pals, who were both 19, were travelling along the Doogary Road near Omagh, when their vehicle was in a two-car collision on December 10.

Following their tragic deaths, Mr McCloughan's family said he was their "golden boy" and "never without an infectious smile", while Mr Doherty was described as having the "unique ability to light up the lives of all who knew him".

The two friends, who played for their local GAA teams, attended St Joseph's College from 2008 to 2015.

In tribute to the two former pupils, the school have created a special video of moving images of the pals during their time at St Joseph's, including pictures of the pair enjoying sport, science class and trips away.

The video has been viewed thousands of times with people commenting of how it captures "fantastic memories" of the two friends.

One woman said: "The amount of photos St Johns have to share of Maurice and Killian just matches the amount of hard work, fun and memories all children gain when attending St Johns. Maurice and Killian had 7 very happy years".

Another said it was a "beautiful tribute and just shows how much Maurice and Killian enjoyed their seven years at St John's", while another added "those pictures illustrate the boys personalities and love for life so beautifully".
