Post-mortem carried out on baby girl who died suddenly ‘inconclusive'

A POST-mortem carried out on the body of a baby girl who died suddenly in Co Armagh has proved inconclusive.

The infant was rushed to Craigavon Area Hospital on Saturday after police were called to a house in Killylea earlier that day.

After the baby was pronounced dead at around 1pm, a police investigation was launched.

A post-mortem was carried out on Tuesday morning.

Police confirming the results were inconclusive, adding: “Enquiries are continuing on behalf of the coroner”.
