TWO Co Tyrone runners are to scale massive heights to raise vital funds for a special school.

Mark McNulty from Dungannon and Conor Bayne from Cookstown plan to run 120 miles - 20 times up and down Slieve Gallion in Co Derry.

The pair hope to raise money for the Buddy Bear Trust in Dungannon, the north's only provider of 'conductive' education.

It teaches pupils with movement disabilities such as cerebral palsy how to improve co-ordination and achieve greater independence.

It is a non-profit independent school that relies on pupil fees or fundraising.

Lord Mayor of Belfast Brian Kingston, himself a keen runner, helped launch the challenge, which will take place on Saturday, December 10.
