Munster radio stations unite to pay tribute to Foley

SEVERAL radio stations across Munster will unite today to pay tribute to rugby coach Anthony Foley.

Each of the ten Munster-based stations will play The Fields of Athenry at midday to coincide with the start of Foley's funeral Mass.

The ten Radio Stations are: Beat 102-103, Spin SouthWest, Clare FM, Cork’s 96FM, C103, Cork’s Red FM, Limerick’s Live 95FM, Radio Kerry, Tipp FM and WLR FM.

The stations said they had been inundated with messages paying tribute to Foley since his death.

In a message on its website, Red FM wrote: "We send our condolences to Anthony’s family, to his rugby family and his many thousands of fans".
