MODEL agency boss Alison Clarke's promise of sophistication for the Ryder Cup wives and girlfriends is already ensuring Team Europe is on to winning ways.
As the world's best golfers compete on the fairways at the Hazeltine National Club in Minnesota, the former Miss Northern Ireland's choice of outfits for the women is already putting their golfing partners in the shade.
Mrs Clarke, wife of Team Europe captain Darren Clarke, led the so-called 'GWAGs' with a stylish display of clothing at the lavish opening ceremony on Thursday.
It is customary for the wives of the two team captains to plan the oufits for the women with Mrs Clarke styling several stunning women including, Erica Stoll, fiancée of Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood's girlfriend Helen Storey and Nicole Willett, wife of English golfer Danny.
Mrs Clarke had last week told The Irish News she had opted for a "luxurious, elegant" look for the women and the first set of outfits they were seen wearing failed to disappoint.
Her promise of "chic" clothing featuring muted tones is already clear at the opening ceremony.
Leading the women into the ceremony alongside her Dungannon-born golfer husband, Mrs Clarke and the other partners were all dressed in matching grey crepe dresses and trench-coats, accompanied by white and grey scarves.
And all of the women completed their looks with sunglasses.
The women later attended a gala dinner with their Team USA rivals, wearing matching blue and navy outfits.
Mrs Clarke has also ensured the women's make-up and hairstyles were to perfection for the prestigious tournament, bringing along one of Northern Ireland's leading make-up artists to the United States.
Paddy McGurgan has been on hand in Minnesota after flying out with Mrs Clarke earlier this week.
The Team USA GWAGs were equally as stunning at the opening ceremony with the women, led by Davis Love III's wife Robin, in grey suede skinny jeans, oversized asymmetric ponchos, topped off with heels.
Among their glamorous wives and girlfriends of Team USA are Paulina Gretsky, partner of 2016 US Open winner Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth's partner Annie Verret.
The golfers were more simple in their choice of attire, with all the men wearing black suits as a mark of respect to golfing legend Arnold Palmer, who passed away last weekend.
Mr Palmer played in six winning Ryder Cup teams and was also captain when the Americans won in 1975.
