GARDA detectives investigating the murder of a man at a boxing weigh-in event in Dublin in February have arrested two men.

David Byrne (34) was shot dead at the Regency Hotel in Dublin on February 5 by men armed with AK47s and handguns who stormed the hotel during the weigh-in.

The shooting was part of a feud between the Hutch and Kinahan crime gangs.

The men, both aged in their 50s, are being questioned at Ballymun and Clontarf police stations.

Gardai believe at least six people were involved in the attack at the Regency Hotel, which left two others wounded.

To date seven people have been arrested in connection with the attack and one man, 24-year-old Patrick Hutch, has been charged with Mr Byrne's murder.
