A TEENAGE girl was assaulted in west Belfast in an attack being treated by police as a sectarian hate crime.

The attack happened in the Falls Park area of the Falls Road on Saturday at about 9pm.

The girl was walking in the area when she was assaulted by a group of unknown females.

Police said they were treating the assault as a sectarian hate crime.
