A FAMILY escaped injury after a car was torched and the blaze spread to their house.
The car was badly damaged in an arson attack on Bryan Street in Larne, Co Antrim, shortly before 1am on Sunday.
The fire later spread to the house and damaged the kitchen.
A man, three women and and a boy and girl, both under the age of 10, were at home at the time of the attack.
One of the women was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not need hospital treatment.
Police appealed to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity at Bryan Street or in nearby Dixon Park on Saturday night or Sunday morning to contact them.
