Man (32) found injured in Co Kerry flat dies in hospital
A 32-YEAR-OLD man found with serious head injuries at an apartment in Killarney, Co Kerry, on Sunday has died in hospital.
Andrzej Piolunowicz was discovered at the apartment on Upper High Street on Sunday, along with his 11-month-old son Karol Rozycki who was later pronounced dead.
His partner and Karol's mother, Anna Rozycka, found the pair on Sunday evening.
Mr Piolunowicz, a hotel worker, was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital on Thursday afternoon.
Gardai believe he had sustained self-inflicted injuries to his wrists, stomach and neck.
He had also sustained severe brain damage due to heavy blood loss.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate the deaths.
A post-mortem examination on the baby's body was carried out on Monday.
Karol is to be buried in Ms Rozycka's home city of Bielsko-Biala on Friday.
