AN armed gang have attacked a man in south Belfast home before stealing his car.

The three men, one armed with a small knife, entered the house in Diamond Gardens and assaulted the householder on Sunday shortly after 8pm.

They took the keys to a black Audi A6 and made off in the direction of Finaghy Road North.

The men are described as all being aged in their mid to late 30s, between 5ft 10in to 6ft tall and of medium and heavy build.

One man had a light blue hooded raincoat with the hood pulled over his head, whilst the other two had dark coloured raincoats with their hoods pulled up.

It is believed that all three men had light coloured tracksuit bottoms on.

PSNI Detective Constable Sam McCallum has appealed for anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact them at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.
