YOU'VE heard of musicians losing their voice, but a prominent Belfast performer is now appealing to the public for help in recovering his microphone.

West End singer Peter Corry, currently producing and directing the Music Box in Belfast, lost the most essential of props at the weekend.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: "On Saturday night/Sunday morning I left Belfast City Hall shortly after singing at around 12.15am and got a taxi home. At some point between the leaving the City Hall, getting into the taxi outside Ten Square and the taxi journey home I lost my microphone, it's in a small black padded case."

Mr Corry added: "If anyone comes across a silver neumann microphone in Northern Ireland could they please let me know, I would be very grateful (I've tried the taxi company and the city hall, to no avail)."
