DARTH Vader, Lois Lane, Apollo Creed from Rocky and a former Doctor Who were all in action in Belfast at the weekend.

The actors in question – Dave Prowse, Margot Kidder, Carl Weathers and Colin Baker – were in town for Film and Comic Con Belfast at the SSE Arena, giving comic, sci-fi and superhero fans a special Halloween weekend treat.

Thousands of people of all ages – most in impressive costumes – turned up to hear talks and get autographs and photos with stars from the likes of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and Game of Thrones.

Dave Prowse, who acted as Darth Vader in the original Star Wars films while James Earl Jones provided the voice, was one of the weekend’s big draws, along with Carl Weathers (Rocky, Predator, Arrested Development) and Colin Baker – who played Doctor Who in the mid-80s.

Margot Kidder, who famously played Lois Lane to Christopher Reeve’s Superman in the late 70s and early 80s film trilogy, was another star attraction.

Other famous faces people queued up to meet included Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett in Star Wars), Miracle Laurie (Dollhouse) and Nicki Clyne (Battlestar Galactica).
