CRIME drama The Fall starring Co Down actor Jamie Dornan has been short-listed for an award by the Royal Television Society.

The psychological thriller, which is set in Belfast and stars Co Down-born actor Jamie Dornan as stalker and murderer, Paul Spector and Gillian Anderson as DSI Stella Gibson, has been short-listed in the Best Drama category at this year's RTS Programme Awards

The drama is nominated in the category alongside Line of Duty, which was made in Northern Ireland and which stars Adrian Dunbar and Keeley Hawkes.

“We are also delighted to welcome the broadcasting legend, John Sergeant as our host for the evening. John has an amazing career spanning political journalism and wider broadcasting, having worked as Chief Political correspondent with the BBC and subsequently as Political Editor at ITN".
