AS one of Northern Ireland's biggest football supporters, radio presenter Colin Murray has a pledge to keep.

More than a year ago the east Belfast man made a vow that perhaps he never thought he would have to see through.

In the build-up to the Northern Ireland squad's bid to make it to the Euro 2016 finals, the Talksport presenter made a promise to fans, which involves a green mankini.

Back in February 2014, he said: "If Northern Ireland qualify for Euro 2016 I'll run thru (sic) Belfast city centre in a green mankini. Without any shame whatsoever".

And now the squad have achieved their goal, it's over to Murray to fulfil his pledge.

Since the team qualified following Thursday's clash with Greece at Windsor Park, the presenter has been bombarded with reminders of his vow and questions of when it will happen.

He responded on Twitter on Friday by telling followers he would take to the streets of Belfast in December.

"Ha ha. Stop tweeting me! ;) Will do before Xmas and put on periscope. And I'll love it. #everywherewego".
