IT’S “foxhunting” but not as we know it.

Former Red Bull world downhill world cup racer Claudio Caluori’s video gives us a bird-eye look at Rostrevor at breath-taking speeds.

It’s edge of the seat stuff as Claudio gives viewers a course preview in his own trademark style in the hills of Co Down.

Red Bull Foxhunt returns to Northern Ireland on October 3 and 4, 400 riders will hit the mountain bike trail in Rostrevor and try to outfox two-time Downhill World Champion Gee Atherton.

In our video Claudio chases former Downhill and Enduro National Champion Dan Wolfe and is chased himself by Women’s World Cup Junior rider Sacha Bickerstaff.

Claudio said: “The first part is quite tough with the climb. To do that at race speed, you’re going to get into the downhill section lacking oxygen which will make it quite interesting because when people get tired this is where it really separates the field.

“I really like the technical sections, you can play a lot, you know taking the right line, there are so many choices. Obviously when there are several lines there, even if you want to take the better line and there are so many people on it, you may be better taking the slower line. Practise is key!

"They have to really look at everything, they have to know the whole forest, they have to know that if there is a queue in one place they can immediately react and go around it."
