MOVIE fans have been star-spotting in Belfast this week with the arrival of a number of Hollywood actors.

Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller have all been in the city to film the new Brad Pitt movie The Lost City of Z.

Also among the stars on set for the movie, based on one of the last great Victorian explorers, was Angus Macfadyen from Ripper Street fame.

Filming has been ongoing across the north for several weeks, but the cast and crew descended upon Methodist College in leafy south Belfast on Thursday.

The movie is based on David Grann's best-selling book about legendary British explorer Percy Fawcett.

Fawcett ventured into the Amazon jungle in search of a mystical city in 1925, but never returned.

Pitt has now been seen in the north for any filming, but there has been speculation he will appear before the production moves to Colombia.
