A 75-year-old man was arrested at Dublin airport last night after almost two kilos of cocaine were found in his luggage.
The man, from US, flew into Dublin from Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris.
The drugs, weighing around 1.9kg, are estimated to have a street value of around £100,000.
The pensioner was being questioned by gardaí last night.
Customs officials said the drug find was part of an intelligence-led operation in conjunction with the Garda.
