Just 15 people arrested during Tennent's Vital
POLICE made just 15 arrests at the two-day Tennent's Vital festival in Belfast.
The PSNI said it was a "very small minority" of arrests given the volume of people who attended the massive music event at Boucher Road playing fields.
Around 70,000 people attended the annual festival which saw The Script, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding among the headline acts.
A significant police operation was in place throughout the two days.
PSNI temporary superintendent Bobby Singleton said: "Tennent's Vital has been another successful event for Belfast City Policing District.
"We had been working closely with the organisers and Belfast City Council in the preparation and planning of the concerts.
“Our aim during the policing operation was to ensure the safety of the 70,000 people attending the event.
"There were a total of 15 arrests made. This is a very small minority when you consider the volume of people who attended over the two days."
