FIVE US Youth Choirs will celebrate American Independence Day with a free candlelit concert in aid of the Children's Hospice and St. Patrick's Church.

The concert will take place at St Patrick's Church in Donegall Street tonight and feature Augusta Children's Chorale, Ecole Secondaire Neelin High School, Forest Ridges School of the Sacred Heart and Texas Youth Chorale and Voices in the Laurel.

It is part of a series of events marking the 200th anniversary of the Catholic church.

Artistic director Rollo Dilworth said the choirs are "very excited" to visit Northern Ireland to celebrate Independence Day.

"We are delighted that the local Children’s Hospice and the church will benefit from the collection. We can't wait to meet the people of Northern Ireland during our visit," he said.

Doors open at 8pm.
