Police release image in hunt for hoax bomb caller

POLICE have released the still image from CCTV of a man that they are seeking in relation to a series of hoax bomb calls made last August.

Detective Sergeant Conor Sweeney said his Reactive and Organised Crime in Belfast team are hoping the public will be able to help them track the man down.

"We would like to speak to the man in this image. It was taken at a commercial premises on the Cliftonville Road area in north Belfast on 29 August 2014," he said.

"He is described as being approximately 5ft 8 inches, wearing a white t-shirt, blue hooded top, grey shorts and blue and white trainers.

"We are keen to identify the male captured on the CCTV and we are asking anyone who believes they may know his identity to contact the CID at Musgrave Station.

"We would also like to hear from anyone with any other information that could assist in the investigation. Contact the non-emergency number 101 or if someone would prefer to pass information anonymously they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
