THE family of a teenager killed by a British army rubber bullet more than four decades ago have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Tobias Molloy (18), a member of Fianna Éireann, the youth wing of the republican movement, was struck in the chest while walking home to Strabane from Lifford early on the morning of July 16 1972.
He was shot at point blank range as he walked through the large Camel's Hump border checkpoint.
This Thursday and Friday, Derry-based human rights group the Pat Finucane Centre will hold a private 'clinic' to gather information about his death. The clinic, at Stra-bane District Caring Services on Bridge Street, will provide a confidential opportunity for anyone with information to come forward.
The victim's cousin, Ann Caldwell, said: "Tobias' family would dearly love to hear from anyone who knows anything that might shine some light on the circumstances surrounding his tragic and untimely death."
