Man dies after north Belfast 'altercation'

A 50-YEAR-OLD man has died in hospital two weeks after he was found critically injured in north Belfast.

The victim, named as Lawrence Pritchard, was found with head and leg injuries at Brae Hill Park in the Ballysillan area at around 2am on Sunday March 29.

At the time police said he had been found following an "altercation".

He was given first aid by officers until an ambulance arrived and took him to hospital.

Mr Pritchard, who was from north Belfast, died in hospital on Friday night.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the time but later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
