Rangers director 'sent explicit Mohammed tweet'

RANGERS' newly appointed director Chris Graham is under investigation by the club after claims he tweeted an explicit picture of the prophet Mohammed on the day of the Charlie Hebdo attack.

Mr Graham was appointed as a non-executive director at Ibrox on Tuesday by South African businessman Dave King who took charge of the club last week.

On the day two gunmen shot dead 12 people at the offices of the French satirical magazine, radical Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary posted a message on Twitter saying "freedom of expression does not extend to insulting the prophets of Allah".

It has since been alleged that Mr Graham replied by sending a cartoon depicting the prophet Mohammed engaged in an explicit homosexual act.

A spokesman for Rangers said they "will look into" the allegations.
