A 48-YEAR-OLD fireman from Belfast was yesterday announced as the new chief of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. Peter O'Reilly will take up the high-profile post in June. Mr O'Reilly who is currently Greater Manchester's assistant county fire officer, joined the service in March 2011 after serving with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service for 21 years.
