Blue is the colour at City Hall

* UP IN LIGHTS: April is Autism Awareness month and the seventh annual World Autism Awareness Day will be held this year on Thursday April 2. Autism organisations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events.

Light it up Blue, annually observed on April 2, is dedicated to raising awareness of autism. Autism Speaks, the world's largest autism organisation, launched the campaign in 2010 and the initiative is intended to raise international awareness of autism as a growing public health crisis. PEAT (Parents Education as Autism Therapists), the NI Autism charity providing evidence-based practice for positive behaviour support to families facing autism across the province, will be linking up with Autism Speaks and support the global campaign by lighting up Belfast City Hall. Pictured at last year's event are Ashleigh Spence from Belfast-based charity Snowflake, Nichola Booth from PEAT and Heather Orr of support charity Solas
